This is a gorgeous opened Nagoya obi with 'Bishamon-kikko' (a kind of kamon with tortoise shell) pattern, which is woven.
It is made by Tatsumura with brand name `Tatsumura Art Textile'(third brand).
The gold foiled threads are woven on the ivory base and elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Otaiko part is Hiyoku shitate to make it look like double layered.

There are prominent patinas on the wrong side of the narrow belt part.
It has prominent weaving imperfection on the upper 'otaiko'(square bow), and it will be shown when you tie.(B)
There are tiny stains near the bottom of 'otaiko'(square bow), but they are not noticeable from a distance.(A)
There are also some other flaws such as prominent folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

There are some flaws, but it is still wearable.
Please enjoy this chic design!

*Heizo Tatsumura*
The first generation Heizo Tatsumura is known for an authority of reconstruction of ancient fragment, and he raised his work created by the collection of the skill of the texture to the level of the art textile.
There are three weaving factories, 'Tatsumura Art Textile', 'Tatsumura Textile', and 'Koho Tatsumura', inherited from the first Heizo.
