This is a Summer asa (ramie) Nagoya obi with eggplant motifs, which are dyed.
Its green gradation adds elegance to the motifs.
Textile is slight less transparent asa (ramie) and has smooth yet crisp touch.
There is a stamp of the designer's signature near the otaiko(square bow) motif.
It is sewn by Mitsukoshi, one of the famous Japanese department store.

The discoloration and patinas overall are slight, but the one on the pale part is relatively prominent and noticeable patinas are in places.(B)
The smudges on the green edge of the belt part is relatively slight, but the ones on the tare end are relatively noticeable. (refer to the 1st flaws photo)
The prominent stains on the 'Maegara' (front patterned part) will be hidden if wrapped from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise). (C D)
The stains on the otaiko(square bow) are slight.(A)
The folding lines are slight and the frays are tiny.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

Although not shown on the photo and figure, the fabric of the otaiko(square bow) seems to be shrunk and the wrong side appears a little and the lining is remnant.

It seems to be not suitable to wear.
The wonderful textile could be useful for your handicraft.

*In Japanese, 'asa' includes below three kinds of material. You must feel it strange that 'linen' is included.
'Taima' = Hemp
'Karamushi','Choma' = Ramie
'Ama' = Linen
