This is a vintage cotton fabric with 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) 'Karakusa'(arabesque) in 'kikko'(tortoise shell) pattern, which is dyed with "Katazome"(stencil-dyed) technique.
Textile is medium thick, hand spun cotton and has soft touch.
Its faded-out indigo color is tasteful.

This piece seemed to be a Futon Cover originally. So that, there are some remaining cotton on the wrong side.
There are marks of unpicked stitches and smudges on the edges.

Although it's not mentioned on the sheet and photo, there is slight discoloration throughout due to its age.
