This is a fascinating Fukuro obi with 'akatsuki'(dawn) and mountain scenery, which is woven the pattern is based on the painting by Yokoyama Taikan, most famous Japanese painter.
It is made by Juraku, one of the famous obi weavers in Kyoto Nishijin.
Its kawari-ori pattern is three dimensional.
Lots of shining gold foil threads are shining gorgeously.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.

Folding lines remain and the wrinkle near the morning sun is a little bit bothering.

It shows when the obi is worn rotating clockwise but the stain A is very small and not prominent. The discoloration and patina on the wrong side is not prominent.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

The obi is wearable.
Please enjoy its fascinating fashion!
