This is an interesting
Fukuro obi with Heian noble, a blaze drum and autumn plants on 'shikishi'(square paper) pattern, which is woven.
It looks like Hyakunin-isshu(Traditional Japanese playing card) pattern.
Gold foil threads and woven foiled threads are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Discolorations and patinas are relatively slight.
There are big peeling spots by fray on 'maegara' (front patterned part)(A), but they will not be seen if you tied with Kanto wrap side. (Rotate obi counterclockwise).
Stains on both right and wrong sides are slight.(Third photo of flaws, B)
Frays are tiny.(First photo of flaws)
Small holes are not seen when tied. (the 9th photo of flaws)
It has some other flaws which are not noticeable.
Please check photos and figure.
If these minor flaws do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy this tasteful fashion.
