This is a graceful vintage
Maru obi with 'shibagaki'(firewood hedge), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), 'botan'(peony), 'suisen'(daffodil), 'sasa'(bamboo leaf) and 'fuji' (wisteria) pattern, which is woven colorfully.
Gold foil threads woven in the outlining of the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The pattern on otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
It is relatively short, 386cm(12'66'').
It has discolorations by ages on the base but they are not prominent.
There are tiny snags.
IT HAS loose stitches of kaikiri lines(end mark line).(A)
A blackish blemish on 'maegara' (front patterned part) of Kansai wrap(rotate obi clockwise) side will not be seen if you tied with Kanto wrap side. (Rotate obi counterclockwise)
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
