This is an interesting Hon
Fukuro obi from Showa period (1926-1989) with various ships, which is woven.
The ship designs have 'shou-chiku-bai'(auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom), and 'kaede'(maple leaf) pattern.
Gold and silver foil threads are added to the design and elegantly shining.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Both ends are roughly sewn.(It doesn't matter when tied.)
It is relatively short, 408cm(13'39'').
Folding lines are relatively slight.(Third photo of flaws)
It has some other flaws which are not noticeable.
Please check photos and figure.
However, it is in very good conditions as an old item.
Please enjoy this unique design.
