This is a vintage
Nagoya obi with a carp swimming up waterfall under 'Kaede'(maple leaf) tree design, which is dyed with pigment.
Textile is glossy 'Shusu'(satin) silk and has smooth touch.
It is relatively short.(329cm/10'10")
There is only one 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) on Kansai-maki (rotate obi clockwise) side.
There are very faint stains on 'otaiko'(square bow) which are not that noticeable.
(refer to the 3rd flaws photo)
There are some spots on the carp of 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) where pigment have come off. (refer to the 5th flaws photo)
There are some other imperfections such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still very tasteful design which only vintage items have.
