This is an exquisite Maiko's Darari Obi with bold 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) on fine 'Koushi' (lattice) pattern, which is woven.
Vibrant 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) over 'Koushi' (lattice) by gold threads gives elegant impression!
Textile is soft silk.

It has a kamon(family crest) of okiya(geisha house) at Tare end which shows it was worn by an actual Maiko.
The length is 610cm(20'01"), long enough for a Darai knot.
Pattern is on both sides with seams at both edges which shows it is not a Maru Obi.
(half the length of the wrong side is blank)

Fray on Maegara is prominent, and because of it, some embroidery threads are missing and torn threads are coming out in places. (fourth and fifth photos after the drawing image)
Fluffs of embroidery threads are also rather prominent. (second photo after the drawing image)
Dye transfer (A) and uneven streaks of weaving (B) are on the wrong side.
It has some other flaws, such as folding lines, as shown on photos.
Please see photos for details.

Because of its heavy usage, it has some flaws, but it is still a very lovely and rare item to enjoy!
