This is an elegant vintage
Nagoya obi with orchid pattern, which is embroidered.
Gold foil threads included in the pattern twinkle gently on the three-dimensional embroidery work.
It also has dyed hazy mist and 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) pattern on the back.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Pattern is placed upside down, which is suitable for Hikinuki knot style.
When you start wrapping the obi from your right tummy to left(Rotate obi counterclockwise), main Maegara will show.
Both ends are fastened rather unevenly, but it is not disturbing for wearing.
The length from otaiko(square bow) to 'Maegara' (front patterned part) is longer than usual, it is about 170cm(5' 7") between the center otaiko to the center maegara.
It has some flaws such as stains, discoloration, smudges and folding lines, but they are slight and not noticeable.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.
*It has slight smell of incense.
It is in very good conditions as a vintage.
We would like you to enjoy the gorgeous embroidery design!
