This is a tasteful Tsumugi Tsukesage Kimono with kasa(bamboo hat) and fan design, which is dyed.
It also has stripe design, which is dyed with Shibori(tie-dye) technique.
It is made by Chisou, one of the most famous kimono makers in Kyoto.
Its fine embroidery is beautiful and glossy.
Textile is Tsumugi silk and has soft touch with knobs of yarns.
There is a dyer's signature on the right front panel.
It was made by Daimaru, one of the famous Japanese department store.

It has prominent, big and noticeable stains on the left front panel. (A)
It has rather prominent wear, that are rather noticeable when you wear.
Although not shown on the figure, it has slight discoloration on the collar.
It has slight discoloration, tiny patinas and stains.

It seems to be not suitable to wear for formal occasions.
However, it must be an amazing handicraft material or display.


*Chisou*

Chisou is one of the long-established stores of Kyo-Yuzen, which was established in 1555 in Kyoto.
They are top level dyers who continue to keep traditions.
At the same time, their new ideas and techniques which depend on their frontier spirit have been getting attention, and admired in the world.
Their products are appreciated as world top level art objects. The Imperial Household of Japan is one of their clients. They have been succeeded to exhibit the possibility
of Yuzen technique.
They are the distinguished producer of Kyo-Yuzen who devote to Yuzen technique which is the origin of Kimono dyeing.
