This is a graceful Iromuji Kimono, which is dyed.
It is by Itchiku Koubou, a factory that continues to create heritage of Itchiku Kubota's Tsujigahana design.
It is woven grass and flower pattern, which is woven.
Gold foil threads are shining sparklingly.
It is dyed hail pattern.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The collar is Bachi-eri(folded collar).
It has an embroidered kamon(family crest) on nape.
There are designer's signature and Tsujigahana on the right front panel, which is embroidered.

*The real base color is relatively more greenish than the photos.

Smudges are rather prominent and may be disturbing. (B)
Wear is relatively slight. (A)
It has stains and discoloration on the lining.

Although not shown on the figure and photo, it has slight discoloration on the outside.

Though it has some imperfections, it is still wearable enough.

*Itchiku Kubota*
One of the famous dyeing industrial artists for Tsujigahana technique.
When he was at age 20, he was inspired by Tsujigahana technique, and after long years of study,
he revived it by incorporating the old technique with the new one and created his original technique which he named "Itchiku-Tsujigahana".
He receives a high evaluation in abroad for his unique design and deep hue in the pattern.
He was awarded 'Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres' in 1990 and 'Culture Director General Prize' in 1993.
