This is a vintage
Maru obi with pheasant, 'matsu'(pine tree), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), traditional Japanese musical instrument and book design, which is woven.
Gold foil threads woven in the pattern are elegantly shining.
Textile is 'Jinken'(rayon) and has soft touch.
As shown on the sheet, it has folding lines from tesaki(one end) to 'taresaki'(end of wide part), but there is no folding lines on 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'tare'(wide end) actually.
It has discolorations by ages and stains on the base.
There are three loose stitches on the edge, and they are getting bigger due to the weak threads.
(A) is a weaving flaw.
It has some other flaws so please check photos and figure.
Although it has some flaws due to its age, it is still dynamic and tasteful design which only vintage items have.
