This is a charming
Nagoya obi with silhouette of swallow and "Fuji" (wisteria) design, which is dyed with Shibori(tie-dye) technique on the dark red color base.
Its Shibori(tie-dye) design is attractive.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
The fabric of 'taresaki'(end of part) seems to be shrunk, and inside of 'taresaki'(end of part) is curved a little.
It has discoloration on the base due to its age.
It has blackish and big stains on both 'maegara' (front pattern on belly). (A,B)
It has a tiny and brownish stain on 'otaiko'(square bow). (5th imperfection photo)
It has repaired tears. (F)
Although not shown on the figure, it has two to three blackish stains on left edge.
It also has some other imperfections such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Though it has some imperfections, please enjoy its charming design!
