This is am attractive Nagoya obi with elegant flower design, which is dyed on the ombre dyed pink background by Sansai Saito.
It shows simple yet graceful atmosphere.
Textile is exquisite silk with woven ichimatsu(checkerboard) pattern, and has soft touch.
There is a stamp and designer's signature on the wrong side of tare.

The yellowish and reddish stains in places on otaiko(square bow) are a little noticeable. (refer to the 1st flaws photo)
It also has discoloration on its base.

Though it has some flaws, it could be worn if these minor flaws do not bother you.

One of the leading kimono designers known for his distinctive sense in beauty of the color and innovative design.
He was influenced by his father who was a dyer, Saisaburo Saito.
Ever since his work was appeared in a popular magazine "the beautiful kimono" in 1965, he came to be taken up by various media such as TV and magazines.
His son, Jotaro, has also succeeded as a kimono designer and works actively at present.
