This is a beautiful vintage
Nagoya obi with basket and ivy design, which is embroidered.
Gold foil threads are added to the black color base.
Textile is glossy shusu(satin) silk and has soft touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
There is a dyer's signature on the wrong side of 'taresaki'(end of part).
It has whitish frays on 'otaiko'(square bow), that are not so disturbing. (A)
It has a streaky fray upper 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) of Kansai wrap(rotate obi clockwise) side.
It has seams and line caused by re-tailored (B).
It also has some other imperfections such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
It's still wearable enough with very good condition.
Please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
