This is a chic vintage
Nagoya obi with eggplant design, which is dyed on the black color base.
Shining silver glazing is added to the design.
Textile is soft plain silk and has smooth touch.
'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.
It has discoloration on the base due to its age.
It has rather big and disturbing stains on 'otaiko'(square bow). (1st flaw photo)
It has two slight stains on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) of Kansai wrap(rotate obi clockwise) side.
And it has about two stains on left edge of 'otaiko'(square bow) than the figure shown.
Although not shown on the figure, it has tiny patinas on white parts.
It also has some other imperfections such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
The fabric of 'taresaki'(end of part) seems to be shrunk, and its back fabric has been pulled out a bit.
If these imperfections do not bother you, it could be still worn.
Please enjoy its chic design!
