This is a fabulous vintage Maru obi with many flowers blooming in profusion and small bird pattern, which is woven with Tsume tsuzure and embroidered.
Embroidery is finely, stately and gorgeous.
Its pattern is three dimensional, skillful and glossy.
Its branch, feather of bird and flower pattern is eye-catching.
Its pattern is added to 'tesaki'(narrow end).
The embroidery is an extreme of luxury.

The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
Maegara pattern is different on each side.

Textile is tsuzure silk, and has rather soft touch.
Lots of shining gold foil threads are woven on the base partly.

It has a stain between 'otaiko'(square bow) design and 'maegara' (front pattern on belly). (3rd flaw photo)
Frays on 'taresaki'(end of part) and corners of 'tesaki'(narrow end) are very slight and not so noticeable.
A snag on 'taresaki'(end of part) is not so noticeable.
Stains (A,B) are slight.
It also has some other imperfections such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

It's still wearable enough with very good condition.
Please enjoy its full taste of vintage!

*The length is only 4m(13ft 1.48in).
The pattern is designed up side down to be tied with hikinuki knot style.
It is usual as vintage Obi.
But it is hard to tie for person who are not used to vintage.

*It seems to be Taisho Period (1912-1926), from pre WWII.
But it is the subjectivity of owner of Ichiroya, so we will not guarantee.
We will not explain the grounds any more.
Please judge by yourself.

*Because it is a luxury item, please buy it carefully.
It seems that a lot of persons are looking forward to exhibition.
Please do not press the button of 'Add to cart' temporarily and easily.
Sorry, we do not accept return.

*Best regards.(owner of Ichiroya)
