This is a
Nagoya obi with a yatsuhashi bridge and chayatsuji(water garden scenery) pattern, which is dyed.
Embroidery work is added to the design.
The textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to the right(Rotate the obi clockwise), the embroidery work of the 'maegara'(the front design) will show.
There are brownish stains on the 'otaiko'(the square bow), which will be seen when it's on. (refer to the 3rd photo of the flaws)
There are rather prominent discoloration all over and patches of patina.
There is a dyestuff - like stain.(A)
There are some pinholes, but they won't be seen when it's on.
There are some other faults, so please check the figure and photos for details.
Though it has some faults due to its age, we hope you enjoy its tasteful design of a vintage obi!
