This is an elegant
Irotomesode Kimono,
It has a traditional kazura-obi'(decorative ribbon used by Noh) pattern with 'kiku'(chrysanthemum), matsu(pine tree) and 'ireko-hishi'(several layers diamond shape) pattern.
The whole pattern is embroidered and glossy.
The textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
A silk hiyoku (an additional layer) is attached to it.
It has three dyed kamons(family crest).
*The background color looks uneven in the photos, but actually it is one tone of color.*
The embroidery work has fluff a little.
The patches of patina are tiny but noticeable because they are near the face.(C)
The stains on the back of the right sleeve are prominent.
The stain on the chest(G) is not so deep, but might be bothering because it is near the face.
There are also large stains on the hem, but they are slight and not noticeable so much.
There are some other faults such as other tiny stains, wear on the collar and discoloration in the lining.
For details, please check the figures and photos.
Though not shown in the figures, there is also slight wear on the left collar.
The left top shoulder of the back is frayed about 10cm(3.9in), which is noticeable a little.
If you don't mind those stains and patches of patina, it is still in good condition to wear.
We hope you enjoy this attractive design!
