This is a vintage hitoe(not lined) kimono with an autumn grasses pattern of kikyo(Japanese bell flower), hagi(bush clover) and nadeshiko(fringed pink), which is dyed.
The shiba(lawn grass) pattern is elegant.
The textile is exquisite silk with a stripe pattern woven with
Urushi threads, and has soft touch.
The sleeve length is rather long, which is classical.
No shoulder pads and 'Ishikiate'(a square piece of reinforcement cloth) are attached to it.
Basting stitches remain on the sleeves.
It has rather prominent wear on the nape.(A)
The discoloration around the sleeve seams is slight, and not noticeable so much.
It has stains and dyestuffs, which are tiny or slight, and not noticeable so much either.
(B, C, G, H)
There are some other faults such as seams on the "sebuse"(fabric which covers back center seam), so please check the figures and photos for details.
It is in very good condition as a vintage summer kimono.
We hope you enjoy its full taste of vintage!
