This is an exquisite Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi with stream, 'Sasa'(bamboo grass), 'Ume'(Plum blossoms), 'Tsuru' (crane), 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) and 'Kikyou'(Japanese bellflower) design, which is woven.
Lots of gold and silver foil threads are added to the colorful design.
Textile is tsuzure silk, and has rather stiff touch.
It also has "Hatsurikou" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure weave.

'Maegara' (front patterned part) is on one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), Maegara will show.

It was woven amazingly with "Tsume Tsuzure" technique. One thread by one thread, elaborately with nails.
It takes incredibly long time to complete. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure silk.

It has a slight and reddish stain on 'taresaki'(end of part), that may be rather disturbing because of its base color. (1st flaw photo)
A stain near 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) is slight, tiny and not noticeable.(B)
It also has some other flaws such as rather prominent folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

It's still wearable enough with very good condition.
Please enjoy its exquisite fashion!
