This is a graceful Hon
Fukuro obi with charming decorative 'hana karakusa' (flower arabesque) on stripe pattern, which is woven.
It is made by Tatsumura with brand name 'Tatsumura'(secondary brand).
Gold and silver foil threads are shining on the colorful pattern.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
Both ends are rather roughly sewn, that are no problem to wear.
It has discoloration on the base due to its age, and has tiny patinas partly.
The discoloration and patinas on 'maegara' (front pattern on belly) are not so disturbing.
It has streaky and rather prominent discoloration on creases of bottom 'otaiko'(square bow). that could be hidden when you tie it. (2nd flaw photo)
It also has some other flaws such as folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
*It has slight smell of incense.
Though it has some flaws, it is still wearable enough.
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
