This is a Awase (lined) Juban (undergarment) with flower pattern like tulip, which is dyed with shibori(tie-dye) technique in Showa period (1926- 1989).
Its retro design is so cute.
Textile is plain silk and has soft and smooth touch.
Han-eri(added collar) is attached.
If you unpick the seams on waist, additional 6cm(2.36in) can be extended on full length.

It has tears by fray on the bottom, and it seems to be not suitable to wear. (F)
It has relatively prominent wear on the han-eri, and it is a little bothering.(A)
It has thin linear flaw by fray on the 'Okumi'(front panel below collar end) of the left front panel. (E)
(The frayed one on the back is stretched fabric and the seams appear along the back mid seam.)
It has some other flaws such as holes, patinas on the base collar and seams.
For the details, please refer to the photos and the sheet.

Although there is no figures and photos, the lining is a little prominently discolored.

It seems to be not suitable to wear, but we would like you to enjoy its full taste of vintage!

If you are looking for a right juban for Kimono, please do not
refer to 'around hip' measurement as tailoring type of each juban varies.
Average back width of juban is approx 61cm(24in), and key to find the
right juban is sleeve to sleeve and sleeve lengths.

Juban sleeve to sleeve length should be the same or slightly shorter length of kimono.
Juban sleeve length should be approx same or a little longer length so
the sleeve bottom settle in the kimono sleeves nicely. If the juban
sleves are shorter, the bottom of the sleeves will come out from kimono
