This is a tasteful Houmongi kimono by Seisei Matsui with 'Kaede'(maple leaf) and 'Kiku'(chrysanthemum) design, which is dyed.
The colorful 'Kaede'(maple leaf) and flower has atmosphere of autumn.
It is dyed by Seisei Matsui, one of the most famous Kyoto Yuzen dyers
There are designer's signature and title on the right front panel.
It is woven diamond and 'Hanabishi'(flower diamonds) pattern on the base.
Textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.

*The background color may seem the shading towards the bottom on photos, but it is actually one tone of color as seen in HTML code.*

The wear(A) is slight but disturbing when you wear.
The stains(C) on the left front panel are not so noticeable.
It has streaky and slight discoloration on back panels, that is rather disturbing.
It also has some other flaws.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
It has a bit like a fragrance.

If you do not mind the small flaws mentioned, it can continue to be worn even on a formal occasion.
Please enjoy its tasteful design!

*Seisei Matsui*
The present Seisei Matsui is a Kyo Yuzen dyer of the 3rd generation.
Although division of labor system is the mainstream in Kimono industry, Seisei's atelier does all works.
Real name of the 1st generation is Sintaro Matsui. He influenced many Yuzen dyer. His embroidery is minute and he is superior to fine gold glazing processing.
Real name of the 2nd generation is Syotaro.
The 3rd generation is Juntaro. His pieces have the modern atmosphere while he is succeeding to the tradition from the 1st generation.
It is the common characteristic of 3 generations that use motifs such as 'shou-chiku-bai' (auspicious three motifs - pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) with gold glazing and dye with Shibori (tie-dye) technique on 'tataki-zome'(dyed it smashed) background.
These 3 generations studied under Japanese-style painters and those pieces are beautiful as picture.
