This is a Tsume tsuzure Nagoya obi with a design of flower cart, which is woven.
'Botan'(peony), 'kiku'(chrysanthemum) and some other flowers are designed on it.
Gold and silver foil threads woven in the design are elegantly shining.

One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. It has special kind of comfortable and medium touch of Tsume tsuzure silk.
It also has "Hatsurikou" (small gap in the boundaries of colors), which is the distinctive feature of Tsume tsuzure weave.

Maegara(front design) is only one side.
When you start wrapping the obi from your left tummy to right(Rotate obi clockwise), designed side of Maegara will show.

There is not folding lines and it seems to be untied one.
A thread on maegara is coming out, but it is not prominent.(A)
The flaw(B) is trace of seal.
Patinas are tiny and discoloration is quite slight, so they are not disturbing.
Please check photos for details.

Though it has some flaws, it's still wearable enough.
Please enjoy its graceful fashion!
