This is a vintage maru obi from Pre WW2.
Its pattern is tasteful and fabulous - crane, pine tree, bamboo leaf, plum blossom, kiku (chrysanthemum), cloud, butterfly, royal cart, house, and crane are finely woven on moss green background.
Textile is silk and synthetic blend, and has textured and soft touch.
It has a folding line in the middle, and the corners of the both ends are slightly worn out. There are some small tears near the both ends, and a quite large tear around the middle area. Its fabric is getting weaker, and there seems to have slight stains (in the light beige patterned part) and some frays in places.
Still it will be a good material for your handicraft.
