This is a vintage kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women.
This piece is made of ro, summer sheer silk. It has dramatic
yuzen dyed pattern - kicho, fan, 'kaioke' (a hexagonal container to store clam shells, which are used ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase' ), cord and flowers are dyed colorfully. Many parts are added embroidery.
Silver patterned parts are partly losing dyestuff. Some embroidery stitches become uneven and lost. There also are some small stains, and black color is slightly discolored. But as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this rich
yuzen and embroidery work kurotomesode.
