This is a supreme maru obi from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has very fine 'shou-chiku-bai'(pine tree, bamboo and ume blossom) motif, which is woven finely. Its background color is beautiful brown, and it has exceptionally sophisticated atmosphere.
Textile is exqusite silk, and has very soft and comfortable touch.
If we look for the flaws, we can find very very small frays in a few parts, but as a whole it can be said in excellent condition.
We can not believe it is from more than 100 years ago!
