This is a vintage kappa, traveler's coat. It is from early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989) or earlier, and made of wonderful double ikat kasuri fabric.
Its unique pattern is weft ikat, and hand woven elaborately. Textile is comparatively thick, and it might be hand spun. Its background color is beautiful natural ai dyed color. Textile has soft and comfortable touch.

Lining has a few small holes and a repaired tear. But as a whole it is in very good condition.
