This is an antique fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has unique wise man and pine tree motif, which are elaborately hand embroidered.
Please check its fantastic details with more photos.
Unfortunately dark blue shusu silk has some small frays, and there are tears in several parts ( mainly in the center part). Two tassels are missing.
We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still very valuable piece for its supreme embroidery.
(Textile becomes weakened. Tears may increase.)
