This is a vintage furoshiki. It is made of unique weft ikat
kasuri - bird motif is woven gently. It seems to be Yumigahama, and must be hand woven by the wife of a farmer. Pattern is not even, which indicates not woven by professional weaver.
Thickness is medium, and has very soft touch. Its color is beautiful deep
ai blue, and well worn.
It has a cut in a corner, some(approx 7-8) holes, a few repaired holes. Two corners have sashiko stitches.
We highly recommend this wonderful vintage
kasuri furoshiki!
