This is a vintage sakiori fabric from pre WWII.
Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
This piece seems to be the fabric of rug. It has beautiful check pattern.
It has irregular ends, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this unique sakiori fabric. It will be a chic interior display. |
