This is a vintage rare kasuri fabric. It is considered to be from San'in district, and has very unqiue weft ikat pattern, which is hand woven. It has a kanji character 'Tora'(tiger), and bamboo pattern. We don't know what others patterns are, but anyway its pattern is very unique.
Textile is comparatively thick, and has very soft touch. Background color is dark blue.
It is jointed with two fabrics ( one is 24cm-9.4in long).
Smaller one has folding lines and a few small holes on them. Bigger one has a hole in the corner. |
