This is a vintage futon from pre WWII. Do you remember a boro futon story in our news letter? It was like this piece, but was more stained and torn.
This piece is also made of various valuable cotton - hand woven kasuri, shibori pattern cotton, shima(stripe), check and solid ai dyed cotton. It is not futon cover, but has pad in side. Pad is also made of various cotton, which piled like mille-feuille.
From torn parts we can see some shibori and kasuri cotton fabrics inside! I wondered we should unpicked the stitches and check all fabrics, because it must be great fun! But we decided to offer that fun to our customers.
What fabrics will come from inside! It must be fun for the patients with same desease as Ichiro!
