This vintage fukusa has exceptionally artistic pattern. Fans are dyed on the kicho ( Japanese ancient partition used by noble people in Heian period(794-1185)). Its picture composition is very unique and artistic. In fans cranes and ume blossoms are dyed, and cords are all embroidered. Embroidery is added in other parts, which makes this fukusa more gorgeous.
It has some frays and tears in the hems. The other side has many tears, and textile is weakened.There are some stains in the other side. But as a whole it is in very good condition.
