This is a vintage kasuri cotton fabric pre WWII. Its beautiful double ikat pattern - flowers and geometric pattern is hand woven elaborately.
It is considered to be from San'in district.
It is made of 2 fabrics ( 1/3 and 2/3 are jointed). Shorter one has a hole and 2 repaired holes. But as a whole it is in very good condition, and will be an excellent material for handicraft. |
