This is a valuable kasuri kimono from pre WWII. It has tasteful pine tree and cross pattern, which is hand dyed and hand woven. Textile is thick and has very soft touch. Its pattern is exceptionally unique and exotic.
It has some tears, and white parts have discolorations. But as a whole it is in very good condition.
This kasuri must be an interesting material for your handicraft.
It is sad that we can not get brand new kasuri with this quality at moderate price. ( Brand new hand dyed and hand woven kasuri cost more than $5000 now.) |
