This is an antique kappa, rain coat for travellers. It is made of thick cotton, and it has oil paper inside.
Outside is made of unique kasuri cotton, which was hand-dyed and hand-woven. Textile is thick, but has soft touch. Its beautiful geometric pattern is double ikat.
Inside is made of stripe pattern cotton.
Unfortunately it has many small holes ( approx 40-50). It also has many slight stains. We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still valuable piece for its beautiful hand-woven kasuri.
