This vintage men's formal haori has absolutely rare motif in the lining. Samurai costume man and monkey are woven, and it scene is 'Sarumawashi'(monkey showman). Face of showman and the square shape of the monkey are very funny and cheerful.
It has tears in the lining, and a few pin holes. It also has some stains and patina.
We can not say it is in very good condition, but it is still charming piece for its fantastic design.
