This is a kurotomesode, most formal kimono for married women. This piece has very unique and sophisticated 'karako'(child figure in China) motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique. Children are marching in a line mirthfully. Some parts are embroidered, and hakkake(lower part of lining) has also kakako pattern.
We have seen many vintage kurotomesode, but we have never seen unique pattern like this piece.
It has wear, and patina in the lining. Black color is very slightly smudged. But as a whole it is in very good condition. |
