This is an exceptionally rare monk's kesa. It is made of transparent silk, and considered to be from pre WWII. It has exceptionally unique pattern on it - 14 monks are hand painted artistically. Please check the incredible details with more photos. It has signiture in the left under corner.
It has some small holes ( mainly in the right side, and right upper side ), and some slight stains. But they are not prominent. From the distance they are hardly noticed.
We have never seen unique kesa like this piece. Ichiro got it at famous kimono auction in Kyoto recently.
We may not be able to come across another vintage artistic piece like this one in furture.
This piece is our treasure.
