This is an exceptionally rare historical pieces. This costume set was worn by Emperor Meiji(1852กม1912). This set was given to a family in Kyoto, and recently came to antique kimono market from that family. Because the origin is clear, and there are many evidences(some kanji characters on them, and woven patterns), we can guarantee it was worn by Emperor Meiji.
(1) Box has kanji characters, which reads ' Emperor Meiji's Wear - November 7th, Taisho First Year (1912) ' It has some cracks.
(2) Washi paper, which seems to wrap shoes.
(3)(4) Tathoshi, which wrapped the wears. It has the name of kimono maker 'Isuke Araki'.
(5)(6) Belt for wearing.
(7)(8)(9) One belt is torn to three parts.
(10)(11) This belt seems to be for tieing box.
(12)(13)(14) These are 'syaku'. (14) is wooden box, and there are two 'shaku' in it. (13) is wrapped by paper, and kanji characters reads 'Takata Shouzoku Ten', who is the Emperor's costume maker.
(15)(16) Belt for costume. (15) has a tear in the hem.
(17) Dagger - it can not draw its sward. It is connected.
(18) 'Asagutsu' - wooden shoes. ( It has some cracks.)
(19) 'Hou' - It has some small stains.
(20) 'Suikan' - It has long tears in the end of sleeves, shoulder, and in bodice.
(21) 'Suikan' - It has a tear in the front bodice. And some tears in the llining, and there are some small stains.
(22) 'Suikan' - It has many tears.
(23) 'Suikan' - Some small holes and stains.
(24) 'Hitoe' - It has a hole and tears in the shoulder folding line.
(25)(26) 'Hitoe' made of linen. (25) has a few small holes, and (26) has some stains.
(27) 'Hitoe'
(28)-(34) 'Hakama' (28)has large stains (32)(33)(34) have some stains, and (31) has discoloration.
(35) some stains.
(36) 'Suikan'- It has some stains and discoloration.
(37) 'Hitoe' - some stains.
(38) It has some stains.
(39)(40) 'Kami-shimo' some stains and small holes.
