This is a vintage sakiori fabric from pre WWII.
Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric. This piece has beautiful stripe pattern.
It has many holes and stains, and one part is replaced with cotton fabric. But they tell us how often this fabric had been used.
We highly recommend this unique sakiori fabric. It will be a chic interior display.
