This is a exceptionally rare susohiki, dancing kimono for Geisha. This piece is layered set, and has incredibliy artistic pattern on the both.
Cute and vivid 'karako'(child figure in China), flower vase, flower cart and other motifs are hand painted with yuzen technique. Its pattern is unique and unforgettable.
One of 'karako'(child figure in China) is first Qin Emperor in his boyhood.Story about this motif is like this - a long time ago in China, boys were playing around big an precious vase. One boy dropped in the vase, and they couldn't help him because the vase was too large for them. One boy ( who later became Shi Huangdi ) picked up a large rock, and threw it to the vase. Vase was broken, and water and drown boy were flowed, and he was helped.
We have seen many susohiki, but this piece is one of the best pieces. Especially its pattern is supreme.
Black color has very slight discoloration, and both have some stains. But as a whole it is in very good condition.
We strongly recommend this rare susohiki. |
