This is a antique fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It has rare and dramatic pattern which is hand painted with yuzen technique. It has 'Karako' (child figure in China) motif, and cute children karako are feeding cranes ! The upper part, it has two more cranes are coming. Its picture is interesting and artistic.
It is made of chirimen silk, and it is in excellent condition.
There must be second chance to get interesting pattern like this piece! |
