This is a Tsumugi Fukuro obi of purple.
This marvelous Fukuro obi was produced by Juraku, one of the most famous Nishijin obi weavers.
It is woven with the Kushi-ori(comb weaving) technique, the base is transparent, and a charming and rustic ivy pattern is woven with the Suikui technique.
Gold foil threads are woven and shimmering on it modestly.

The textile is exquisite silk and has soft touch.
The wrong side is not transparent.
It can be worn with the awase(lined) or hitoe(not lined) kimono.
A mark of Juraku is woven on the 'tare'(the wide end).

The folding lines are slight and not noticeable.
There is a 5cm(2.0in) stain on the 'te-saki'(one end), but that is slight and not noticeable so much.
For details, please check the figure and photos.

If you do not mind these faults, it still can be worn.
We hope you enjoy this traditional fashion!
