This is a graceful vintage Hon-Fukuro Obi with bold "Kiri" (paulownia) design, which is woven.
It is made by Tatsumura with brand name with 'Made By Heizo Tatsumura'(top brand)
The vivid and bold design is attractive.
Textile is transparent silk and has light touch.
The length is rather short. 416cm(13ft 7.78in).

There is another 'otaiko'(square bow) pattern which will be seen inside of 'otaiko' when you tie it.
It is so called "Ura-Taiko" (wrong side taiko).
It makes this obi very luxurious which can be seen just a little bit.
It is the obi which is outstanding from regular 'otaiko' pattern obi.

It has discoloration on both edges and creases due to its age. (2nd flaw photo,A)
It has a tiny hole between 'otaiko'(square bow) and 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
And threads on the base are about to be coming loose. (B)
It has repaired tears like a trace near 'tesaki'(narrow end).(C)
It also has some other flaws such as slight folding lines.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.

Though it has some flaws by ages, please enjoy its full taste of vintage!
