This is a charming
Tsumugi Nagoya obi with 'botan'(peony) and 'Ume'(Plum blossoms) on bamboo basket design, which is pasted with straw of bagworm.
This piece is made by one of the most famous bagworm crafter in Japan.
Its delicate motif of high quality is so attractive.
Textile is
Tsumugi silk and has rather stiff touch.
It has no 'maegara' (front pattern on belly).
It has slight folding lines.
Although not shown on the figure, it has discoloration on the base due to its age.
For the details, please refer to the photos and figure.
Though it has some flaws, it is still wearable enough.
Please enjoy its charming fashion!
