This is a vintage
Nagoya obi with a butterfly and swallow pattern, which is dyed.
The 'Kinkoma'(thick golden threads) embroidery work is added partly to the colorful pattern.
The textile is exquisite silk with a woven auspicious cloud pattern, and has soft touch.
The pattern on the otaiko(square bow) part is designed upside down from kaikiri-line(end mark line) to be tied with hikinuki style.
There are streaky flaws like weaving flaws in the 'otaiko'(the square bow) and 'maegara'(the front design) of Kanto wrap (rotate obi counterclockwise) side, which is not noticeable.(no photo about that)
There are small snags in the 'maegara'(the front design) of Kanto wrap (rotate obi counterclockwise) side and around the 'otaiko'(the square bow).(not indicated in the figure)
There are discoloration in the base due to its age, and slight folding lines.
There are three dyestuffs on the 'otaiko'(the square bow) and 'tare'(the wide end).
For details, please check the figure and photos.
Also, the fabric of the 'tare'(wide end) might be shrunk.
So a little bit of the fabric of the wrong side was pulled and came out to the right side.
Though it has some faults by ages, we hope you enjoy its full taste of vintage!
